GDPR NOTICE

SMARTER DRIVER GDPR NOTICE 2.0 This GDPR NOTICE has bee produced in order to help the student understand how and why SD requires your personal information, how its will be stored, whom it may be shared with and how long your personal information will be stored for.This document will outline your rights in regard to Data Protections.

 

 What information do we collect and why?

 

1. With your consent SD may need to keep credit/ credit card information for the purpose of receiving payments from you for bookings. This information will be stored securely to ensure your Personal Data rights are protected.This information will disposed of in a secure manner in the event our services are no longer needed, or if you expressively request us to do so.

 

2. SD will keep a secure record of all payments made for all driver training and DRIVING TEST BOOKINGS. This record is kept in order to maintain an accurate set of accounting records, which is legally required by the business for 6 years.After this period any accounts records and supporting information will be securely disposed off. All of this information is kept digitally, but the student may also keep a written copy on their student record car, if they opt to use one.

 

3. SD will use your name, address, telephone number, date of birth and driver license details for the purposes of providing services for driver training. In case SD or the instructor needs to get in contact with the student/ family member, to give the student access to online E-LEARNING features, such as E-LEARNING, Theory test pro and SMARTER WORKSHOPS. All of this information is stored securely in a digital format.This information may also be used to provide special offers regarding SD upcoming events, services and general information, unless expressively told otherwise.This information may also be used in order to make a DRIVING TEST BOOKING on your behalf. 

 

4. SD will hold records of all learning progress digitally. This information may be shared between SD and the instructor.

 

5. SD will hold records of the students' theory and practical test results digitally. This will enable us  to monitor training performance for the instructor.

 

6. With the consent of the student and if under 18 (a legal guardian also) SD would like to take a photograph of the student and obtain a written review for the purpose of promoting SD services and products. Promoting of this information would take place on social media platforms, the website and potentially in a paper format. This information would also allow SD to send the student nice images to cherish.All reasonable attempts will be made to remove such information from promotional material at the request of the student.Please note that on social media platforms SD cannot prevent any photos or reviews being shared or copied bye anyone else, but SD will make all efforts to delete any copies found on any social media platforms. 

 

7. SD May need to pass on contact details of the student to the NHS Track & Trace Service in the event of testing positive for the COVID-19 disease.Any personal information above is stored securely in a digital format and will only be accessed by staff at SD or any third parties working on behalf of SD. No personal information will be shared with anyone outside of SD.

 

As previously mentioned above, all Personal Data will be securely disposed off following 6 years from being received, unless requests by the student have been made sooner.
